1150° is a collective project designed, developed and produced by Master 1 Industrial Design students.
It is a mini-series of ceramic pieces produced within the school, despite the conditions of confinement.
Our domestic sphere is populated by objects that have become obsolete because a simple part, a fastener or a screw has disappeared: clock, disposable pepper shaker, lamp, jar, saucepan lid... Like a prosthesis, ceramic pieces come grafting itself permanently onto these half-objects with a view to repairing them.
New typologies emerge, functions and uses different from their previous life; plastic packaging becomes a durable and functional object, a simple jar becomes more than a container, new handles replace those which had now disappeared...
